Akshay calls Kareena a 'Bitch'

The promo of Sajid Nadiadwala’s movie Kambakkth Ishq has its leading stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor calling each other canine names.

The movie’s trailer was set to air on television from this weekend but it didn't because the Censor Board deemed it unfit for mass viewing and has given it an ‘A’ certificate.

According to reports the promo has certain objectionable content. The Board’s regional officer is quoted as saying that the promo as has Kareena calling Akshay “a dog”. Akshay responds to her in same vein by calling her “a bitch”. If that’s not objectionable enough there’s a dialogue that says that women are only meant for making love.

Though the above dialogues could be part of the film’s comedy, the Censor Board chose to gave it an ‘A’ certificate because the context of the dialogues is not established in the promos.

It means that the promos can now be shown only in theatres and that too with movies that have ‘A’ certification.

‘Kambakkth Ishq’ is one of the most awaited films of this year. Apart from Akshay and Kareena, it has cameos by Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh.

French First Lady Carla Bruni left hubby Nicolas Sarkozy red faced when she groped his backside during a press conference.

The former model and singer was being filmed in the Elysee Palace for a magazine when the President walked in, reports the Mirror.

Soon afterwards, Bruni was stroking Sarkozy’s backside, pecking his cheek, and even whispering in his ear: “Bon courage, chou chou.”

“Chou” is the French for cabbage, and the phrase used by young lovers means: “Be brave, my little darling.”

The former Bond girl was reportedly soaking up the sun on a day off from the shooting of Greek epic Clash Of The Titans.

The 23-year-old, who starred as MI6 Agent Strawberry Fields in the Quantum of Solace, was seen enjoying the break by a hotel pool.

“Gemma’s bikini didn’t seem to be giving her a lot of support,” The Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.

Flashback: Bollywood invades IPL 2008!

The Premiere edition of IPL was an All-Bollywood affair. The pomp and grandeur made it look almost like a Bombay blockbuster. The proceedings more cinematic than it was cricket-ish! Most of the stars walked the talk, on the IPL ramp, last year. Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Preity Zinta were proud owners of IPL teams, while stars like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty cheered on their home teams. The 2009 edition promises to be even more entertaining, and with more star power!

Ash, Preity's booty shake at Mallya's Bash

India might have not had an official entry at the Cannes Film Festival this year, but that is not deterring the businessmen of the country from living it up there!

While the Hinduja brothers throw a bash every year for their friends abroad, this time beer baron Vijay Mallya is throwing his own bash on May 16 at his villa Le Grand Jardin on Sainte-Marguerite. While the Hinduja party is expected to be a sedate affair, Mallya's would be typically boisterous. The invites have already gone to around 300 guests, which include political dignitaries from the Indian and French government. The Indian ambassador in France, Ranjan Mathai is one of the chief guests along with Sushma Singh of the I&B Ministry.

The theme of the party is 'Bollywood' and all the Bollywood dignitaries in Cannes are expected to be present at this party.

According to sources, the DJ has been asked to play a range of film tracks - from Bollywood oldies to Slumdog Millionaire. AR Rahman is expected to attend the party too. Mallya is working closely with the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and they have promised to get Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan or Preity Zinta to attend the party. Anil Kapoor is also expected to attend the party.

It is said that Aishwarya along with hubby Abhishek already flew to Cannes on Tuesday early morning. Ash and Preity are expected to be present at the Cannes festival to promote their respective beauty and jewellery brands.

'Kites': True love flying high!

One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year is the Hrithik Roshan- Kangna Ranaut- Barbara Mori starrer 'Kites'. While the film is likely to hit theatres only in the latter half of the year, it has already generated tremendous buzz among the trade circles. Everything right from Hrithik's sizzling hot chemistry with Barbara Mori to his super cool dance moves is being spoken about. However, not much is known about the film except for the fact that Hrithik plays a salsa dance instructor.
